Following graduation in 2020, students from the schools of the Agency for Development of Presidential, Creative and Specialized Schools under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan won 32 gold and 5 silver medals.
In particular, graduates of creative schools received 26 gold and 3 silver medals, students of specialized schools received 6 gold and 2 silver medals.
Presidential schools began to function from the 2019-2020 school year in the cities of Nukus, Khiva, Namangan and Tashkent, and currently do not have 11th grade graduates.
In February 2019, the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan approved the Regulation "On awarding gold and silver medals to talented graduates of secondary schools and academic lyceums."
The regulation determines the procedure for awarding talented graduates of secondary educational institutions, including specialized schools, specialized boarding schools for art and culture, specialized boarding schools for sports, as well as academic lyceums.
According to the document, gold medals are awarded to 11th grade graduates with a certificate with honors at the end of 9th grade, excellent marks for all final tests, as well as for the results of quarters and academic years in all subjects for grades 10-11, exemplary behavior and active participation in public life.
Silver medals are awarded to 11th grade graduates who have a diploma with honors from the end of 9th grade, “excellent” marks in all subjects according to the results of 10-11 grades, exemplary behavior and active participation in public life.
